Into The Groove

In case you haven't noticed, we're going through another Mercury Retrograde again.  This one seems to be hitting myself and a lot of people I know pretty hard.  Just 2 days after it began I had communication mishaps with emails not reaching me in a timely fashion.  Annoying, to say the least.  It hasn't been too terrible though.

During this time I usually like to get organized, dump the clutter in my house and update my manifesting lists. I'm in the process of doing just that, but now the weather is getting nice and I keep shifting my focus to Spring cleaning.  Last weekend my stepdaughters and I did all the windows downstairs and this week I'm going to tackle everything on the 2nd level.  It'll probably take half my weekend, but it'll be SO worth it!

In a couple of weeks I'll begin my Spring/Summer prep outdoors.  There's lots to be done with the lawn and backyard.  I never used to like dealing with this stuff, but I changed last year for some reason. This year I have big plans to spend a lot of time planting flowers. So not like me, but hey, this kind of change is good!

Before I can get started on that, I have to work on time management again.  That's something I'll always be challenged with....maintaining balance with my home life, career and alone time.  Now I know why my mother used to bitch about having too much to do and not having enough hours in the day.  It can be a bit stressful if you don't get the proper assistance from those you live with.  Fortunately for myself, I'm pretty lucky in that department.  It's Spring Break for the girls so my schedule will be a bit jacked up all next week. My gym schedule will be shifting from the morning to night most days and I'm not looking forward to that, lol.  Angelo has school still so that'll be helpful :)

The retrograde is also a good time to go over the past a bit and eliminate everything that no longer serves a purpose.  I do this at least 2-4 times a year or as needed.  Right now I don't have any emotional junk to deal with, just physical items and positive career related matters.  Keep in mind that the retrograde has a tendency to bring back folks from the past temporarily. This does not mean they'll stay.  Usually this transition isn't good for making major, life-altering decisions as the deal could fall through, get delayed or we can change our mind about a matter, especially with people and relationships.

Spring is an auspicious time for personal and professional renewal.  If there's a bad habit you'd like to break, do it!  This season gets me excited because I'm no longer stuck inside all the time and the kids can play outside.  They're much happier and when they cheer up, so does Mama, LOL.  I also have plans to finally paint my kitchen and family room.  I just don't know what colors I want yet.  The goal is to be done by the end of April with that project.

This year seems really good for new beginnings and celebrations so I hope everyone enjoys this next transition.

  1. I love spring's renewal and the feeling of freshness when spring cleaning get's done, whether it's physical or emotional. The two seem to go hand in hand with me. When I've done a lot of emotional clearing, I get energized to do physical clearing, and vice versa. After the cleaning/clearing is the best time to review goals and reset our course.
